Charge exchange radiation diagnostic with gas jet target for measurement of plasma flow velocity in the linear magnetic trap

The ambipolar electrostatic potential rising along the magnetic field line from grounded wall to centre in linear gas dynamic trap, rules available suppression of axial heat and particle losses. In this paper, visible range optical diagnostic is described using Doppler shift plasma emission lines for measurements accelerating drop. We used room temperature hydrogen jet puffed directly on sight as charge exchange target ions moving expanding flux mirror towards wall.
